We had an incredible stay at this camping resort! The campsite was affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was despite being busy. There were tons of activities available, including mini golf, tennis, and a pool. The location was perfect, as we could easily walk to the beach or drive a short distance to lovely spots. The only downside was that it got a bit crowded at times, but overall, it was a fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Whalers, where every visit feels special. The staff truly went above and beyond, especially by organizing a heartwarming Thanksgiving dinner for all of us campers. The location is vibrant with plenty of activities, although I did notice that some sites are a bit cramped for larger RVs. Overall, it’s a lovely campground, just keep in mind the limited Verizon reception.

I had a pretty good experience overall, with clean spaces and accommodating staff. The park is well taken care of, but I was disappointed by the lack of internet access at the RV spot, which I really needed for work. The beach access was a bit tricky, having to cross a busy road, and the bike trails were mixed-use with cars, which felt a bit unsafe for kids. Still, the pool was nice, even though the showers could use some attention.

I had a bit of a mixed experience at the resort. On one hand, the peaceful setting in the woods and proximity to the beach were fantastic. There were plenty of activities for my kids to enjoy too. However, the management really needs to focus on their upkeep and service; there were significant concerns regarding security and facility maintenance that were disappointing.

There was no specific mention of the rooms. However, the facilities nearby could use some maintenance.
Service

Service was lacking as management seemed unaware of the issues, and employees were occasionally rude. Communication could really improve.
Location

The location was quiet and serene, with the beach just across the street, which was a definite plus.

The amenities seemed to be in poor condition; there were safety issues like damaged streetlights and unsecured propane tanks that need urgent attention.

I had a mixed experience at Thousand Trails Whaler’s Watch. The location is great, being just a short drive from Newport, and I appreciated having full hookups at our site. However, the park could use better maintenance and organization, especially for larger RVs. The lack of planned activities was disappointing, especially as a member who expected more for the investment. Overall, while it has its perks, there are significant areas for improvement.
Rooms

The site we had was decent, mostly level, but accessing it was a challenge due to tight spots, particularly for larger RVs.
Service

Booking as a Lifetime Elite member was frustrating, as it took a lot of effort to secure a spot due to blocked reservations for paid guests.
Location

The location is quite convenient, only about 10 minutes from Newport, which is great for exploring the area.

While the park has potential, the lack of upkeep is noticeable, and I would say it's in dire need of repairs and better management.
